Leadership

Robert was born in Phoenix, Arizona, to displaced Texans the same year that University Park was established.  Robert was educated at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth.  It was seminary that brought Robert back to Texas in 1976 where he and his family have remained.

 

Robert has been married to Linda since 1967; they have three grown children and six grandchildren.  Linda is a retired R N nurse-manager with citification in gerontology.  
 

Robert has served  University Park as pastor from 1982 – 1988, he was our interim for nearly a year until the Lord called him a second time in 2001. 
 

Cecile is a native San Antonian and was a charter member of University Park until she left to attend college.  She returned to University Park in 1998 after being away for 40 years. 

 

Cecile, a schoolteacher, spent her career teaching business.  After her retirement from teaching, and return to the church of her youth, she accepted the position of church secretary.  Cecile brings many valuable skills to our church office.  Cecile has three children and eleven grandchildren.
